Terms and Conditions

  1. Contract

1.0        The trading name for Lily King Weddings of Distinction is Lily King

1.2     These terms constitute the contract between Lily King and the customer, for the supply of goods by Lily King to the customer and are deemed to be accepted by the customer by virtue of booking.

1.3     No variation or alteration to these terms shall be valid unless approved by Lily King in writing

1.4        Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Lily King, these terms will prevail over any terms or conditions preferred by the customer

1.5     Lily King will deliver to your venue 0-3 days prior to your event

1.6     Lily King will collect from your venue 1-3 days after your event

1.7     It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all hired items are packed up ready for their collection or accept the venues responsibility to do so

1.8     If items are not ready for collection by 10am of the following day (or at the pre agreed time) then an automatic and non-negotiable fee will be incurred of £85.00 per hour.  Chargeable until our staff have packed our items away

1.9     Sashes must be untied after their intended use.  If they are returned still tied then an automatic and non-negotiable fee will be incurred of £85.00 per hour.  Chargeable until our staff have packed our items away

2.0     Lily King will not be responsible for any unsuitability as to the goods nor be held responsible for non-delivery due to circumstances beyond Lily Kings’ control

  1. Prices

2.1     Lily King reserve the right to amend, at any time, any prices without prior notice.  Orders are accepted on condition that goods will be charged at the prices quoted and signed in agreement with these terms

2.2     Prices quoted are for a one day event only unless otherwise agreed in writing by Lily King

2.3     One day is deemed as 24 hour period

2.4        Prices quoted on the booking form are valid for 28 days

2.5        A booking will not considered to be accepted until the deposit has been received and cleared. An electronic acceptance and/or receipt of deposit is also valid for this clause.

  1. Damage / Shortages

3.1     Damage can include but is not exclusively to be, shortages, permanent stains, such as, crayon, wax, mildew, food, ink, mud, burns in/on fabric, tears, rips, pulls and will be subject to this contract

3.1        All shortages / damages will be chargeable at the current rate

3.2        The customer will inform Lily King of any shortages / damages to hired goods within 24 hours of delivery

3.3        Lily King will inform the customer of any shortages /damages to hired goods within 28 working days from the signed collection of the goods

3.4        If items are collected but with shortages you will be offered a ‘grace period’ to return the missing items.

3.5        Lily King will use its discretion to ensure any missing items can be found before refunding the deposit.

  1. Payment

4.1     A deposit is required to secure your order for the date requested

4.2     The order will be confirmed as soon as the deposit has cleared

4.3        Payment may be made via bank transfer, cheque or cash in person by prior appointment

4.4        25% of your quoted total is due within one month of booking.  Three further instalments will be required to clear your balance at three months six months and one month prior where any final adjustments can be made.

4.5     The full payment is due 28 days prior to your event of what has been previously quoted and thus agreed to.  Numbers of any item may only be increased after this time

4.5     The full deposit will be refunded within 28 working days and only if ALL hired goods are received UNDAMAGED by Lily King

4.6     Full payment is required at time of booking, for any orders required within 28 days

  1. Owners retention of property

5.1     The goods shall be at the customers risk from delivery

5.2     The risk of the goods shall pass from Lily King to the customer upon signed delivery of such goods

5.3     During the period of hire the customer is solely responsible for the goods and insuring the goods

5.4     Lily King shall not be responsible for any injury or damage to persons or to property sustained arising from our goods under hire

5.5     The contract for the hire of goods is between Lily King and the customer NOT a venue; (unless goods are being hired directly by a venue), it is the responsibility of the customer to reclaim any costs from the venue if the venue is found to be at fault with regards to damages/shortages etc.

5.6        The title of the goods will always remain that of Lily King

5.7     The customer must inspect the goods & sign upon receiving of the hired goods or accept the venues responsibility to do so

5.8        Packaging, Laundry bags and boxes etc. must be retained and returned with Lily Kings’ hire items. Loss or damage to such items will be chargeable at the current rate

5.9        You consent to allow Lily King to use visual imagery of our work for use in our publicity etc.

  1. Carriage / Collection Charges

6.1     A standard carriage charge of £50.00 will be charged for delivery & collection of all goods within a 15 mile radius of Stamford, Lincolnshire

6.2     A standard carriage charge of £75.00 will be charged for delivery & collection of all goods within a 25 mile radius of Stamford, Lincolnshire

6.3     A special charge will be made for exceptional circumstances deemed by Lily King and/or for orders placed within 24 hours or to venues deemed by Lily King to be exceptional

6.4     If delivery and/or collection induces the London Congestion Charge then this will be charged at the current rate, in addition to the standard delivery/collection charges

6.5        Floristry and other hired items may increase the delivery & collection charge

  1. Cancellations

8.1     The deposit is not refundable if the order is cancelled at any point

8.2        If the customer cancels the order within 28 days (one month) of the event then the FULL BALANCE is payable

8.4        If the customer cancels the order within 90 days (three months) of the event then 85% of the FULL BALANCE is payable

8.6        If the customer cancels the order within 240 days (six months) of their event then 65% of the FULL BALANCE is payable

8.7        If the customer wishes to reduce/ amend their order this may only be accepted at the discretion of Lily King, due to turning away other enquiries

  1. Other

9.1       If an item becomes unavailable (due to prior damage or loss) a substitute will be used as close as possible to what has been quoted to you

9.2       Flower availability can sometimes fluctuate which may impact on our flower quotes, however if this does happen we will always use a suitable alternative as close as possible to what has been quoted to you

  1. Law

10.1     These terms and conditions are covered by English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
